What inspires me?

I was thinking about this question this morning. The answer people. I am inspired by the way a person can overlook past failures or how someone can work what seams to be a mediocre job for thirty years because it was the right thing to do for their family. I can see sacrafice from all these aspects. This really got me thinking about how people in their ordinary life can do so much for the needy. Inclosed is my list of people who have had what I percieve to be the greatest impact on my life to date. I would also like to preface by saying that if it were not for these people I would be a shadow of who I am today, Thank You.

Stephen Shives- my first personal pastor. He treated me with respect, that is surprisingly rare.

My wife, Beth- she teaches me how to not be such an ass.

Paul Dinkins- you showed me that it is ok to be me. You will probably never know how much you truly gave me.

Stephen Posey- You have always treated me as a peer even when I was barely that. You helped me make it through.

Joe Vetzel- Joe, you taught me to be a responsible adult. You gave me a chance because that's the kinda guy you are. I feel like a large part of my motivation in life is seeing you say 30 years from now, "I told you that guy was gonna do something amazing". I won't let you down man.

Wes- what can I say, you define friendship. I love you bro. You will always support me no matter what people say. If I didn't see you for 20 years, I know that our conversation would pick up like I never left.

I can only pray that I influence the world like these have me. The path I have taken was worth every step, because the people I have met along the way. That inspires me.

For All that I Know.

When I was in college a friend of mine would walk up to me ever so often and say, "What is God telling you this week". It has been a long time since I have really pondered this question, but this week is different. God is telling me something quite specific this week. It is something that I used to tell myself often, but have neglected to embrace for quite some time.

I AM AN IDIOT.

I am not comparing myself to the people around me, rather I am comparing what I do know with what I do not know. For all that I am I am nothing, only what He is capable of doing through me. My short commings become blatantly evident in my inability to produce. What I am capable of and what I will actually allow myself to do are two totally different things. An expert with wisdom has to see that he is limited to his own ability and understanding. I am not even an expert.

I do have one thing though. Only I can see it so it is probably not very impressive to you. I can't really decribe it in words so that won't help you either, but it is the biggest and most vauable thing I own. It's my Dream. God gave me this dream that is so big it is hard for me to even think about sometimes without feeling overwhelmed. I flat out don't know how to get there and I just remembered that I am an idiot.
I have been trying to hard to figure it out while neglecting the path that is right in front of me. I want to learn and I know now that only my pride is standing in my way.

The Anatomy of a Fly on the Run.

As I attempt for the near 60th time to kill a fly that has infiltrated my office I wonder: Why does the certain death of the common housefly increase the it's survival rate by nearly 150,000%? At this point I would gladly pay someone $100 if they could capture this worthless creature and hold it down while I dance around pausing near to it's ear for moments at a time only to make buzzing noises that have no freakin legitimate purpose in the whole of God's creation.

Carter takes a feild trip to the pumkinpatch.

(Carter has a crush on this little cutie, don't tell no one)

Only In Tulsa.

This is not the best part. At night there is a spotlight shining the phrase "God blessed America, what have you done for Him?"
Ahhh another brilliant plot by the seedy christian under-belly of Tulsa to subliminaly plant Judeo-Christian ideas in the minds of the general population. (shhhh, I love this flippin town )

Top 10 obstacles keeping Christians from winning souls

10. Always needing either more love or more power or more of you in my life.

9. Myspace.com

8. Lonely people still freak me out.

7. The church won’t reimburse my gas receipts.

6. We are only called to witness to the decedents of the Amorites not the Midianites.

5. I just want to be the guy that holds the money bag, leave me alone.

4. That was last years wave, this year’s new wave is to raise a standard against them.

3. I thought that helping people was for girl scouts and the red cross.

2. I mean, what would I do with the souls after I won them?

1. Are there any good excuses keeping us from winning souls?

.....well, I think it's funny.

So me and Corrinne went to Pheonix

This was a blast!!!! We went to a place called Train Park. We rode the train and some other rides, then we chilled back for some ice cream.
I wish I pictures of the day she spent with Tonya, she is talking about it, thanks again. We can't wait to come back.

*************************************************************************************

These are pictures of the two of us right before we got on the plane on the way and the way back. This was Corrinne's first time on an Airplane. She did very well. she did inform me and everyone on the plane that we were going to crash into the water. She loved to look out the window as we were taking off. Other that that it was pretty much sleepy time for both of us for the majority of both flights.

What Is A True Friend?

A true friend is:
Someone who calls you an your crap. Someone who sees you for what you really are, then he sticks his finger in your face laughs at you and calls you a fag. Someone who inspires you and is inspired by you, and most importantly, believes in you. And finally someone who does a great impression of Michael Jackson when the wind picks up in a large parking lot.

Had a freakin' blast man and Corrinne wants me to tell Tanya hello.

The following........

The following is a list of things I learned this week:

Rick Warren is the Anti-Christ.
It is ok to get angry at the Church as long as you are right.
People are so wrapped up in their life they forget what life is all about.
Opposites better attract because me and my wife only like the things the other one doesn't (go figure).
Selfishness is when ever you act or think on your own behalf.
Fighting is never really worth it.
Your boss doesn't hate you, he's just got a lotta personal crap to work out.
All things can be answered with the phrase: Because I like to party.
Time is this worlds most precious commodity.

Harvester Training Weekend Florida June '06

I had the pleasure of visiting my fathers church in august. Faith Family Fellowship is located in Lynne, Florida; just east of the city of Ocala on hwy 40.
I was given the opportunity to to have this great little church host a Harvester Training Weekend with Chapter Twentynine.
Needless to say we had a blast. Connie taught me to always remember that Wisdom is my sister. I can't remeber who my kindswoman is so, if you read this Connie please take this opportunity to remind me.
To the whole team from Faith Family Fellowship, you guys were awsome the pleasure was sincerely all mine.
This is a pic of one of the groups planning a future outreach. We did a mock brain-storm session where each group talked about affective outreach ideas. All the groups did an outstanding job.

This is Bob and Phyliss. They have been close family friends for many years. Phyliss was my sunday school teacher when I was 5 years old. Bob I have to say is an impressive man in his own right, he is well into his eighties and he holds a full time job as a currier/ delivery driver. It was a special treat to have a chance to see them again.

Where in the world have I been?

The answer to that, if you will permit me to use an "old man phrase" is: A small town west of Work just south of Stress in a little town called Busy. I am truly sorry for forcing all of you to endure that. Anyhoo, what am I up to.
Work: I have some one working for me now who allows me more home time and keeps me making outstanding money. That has been helpful with family time and also with getting stuff done with the ministry.
The Ministry: Things are goin' great. I fly out June 9, to florida to do an outreach at my dad's church. During which time I am going to meet the infamous Judy in person and talk about working with her in the future. The second weekend in aug I going to pheonix to do an outreach there. ( www.wedolife.com) . Our first Harvester Training Weekend will be in Denver, Co in Sept. (www.gocampaign-06.com). Of course we are gearing up for our Dominican trip in Dec. I am really excited about what is jumpin' off. Oh yeah Brian revamped the site check it out just don't look at the retarded pic of me on home page. I hate it, he says it looks great. Whatever, I just hate my pic on ministry stuff I guess. Anyway, Check it out(www.chaptertwentynine.org).
Family: Carter starts his new pre-school on teusday, so we are all excited about that. Corrinne is mad because she wants to go to school. We are gonna try to put her in Gymnastics this summer, she will like that. Beth, is feeling a little under the weather. The doctor found some enzyme in her blood that has been causing her issues for years, so she had to take a cortizone shot to get rid of it and needless to say that has not been a positive for the last couple of days, but the doctor says that it will be over pretty soon.
Well, that is the worst of it I think. We put on a new storm door, I finally found something good to use on the lawn, and I still have not finished painting the house. Ok now that's the worst of it.
Here are some pics.
I call this one "Sexual Computer", but I can't tell you why.

This one is so you can see I have not forgotten where I came from.

Lastly, we have Carter and his good pal Charzard, in case you didn't know Charzard moved in a couple of years ago and we have not been able to get rid of him.
